What is Zapper?

Zapper is the BoxCommerce payment partner for all merchants in South Africa. 

Why Zapper?

To make payments as seamless as possible, BoxCommerce has partnered with Zapper, making it easier for your customers to complete transactions in your online store.

The images below highlight Zapper's eCommerce gateway. This streamlined interface simplifies the payment process, demonstrating how your customers can effortlessly complete transactions via QR code, bank card, or EFT on your online store.

How to Enable the Zapper Payment Method (Mobile)

1.  Access payment methods:  Navigate to Store>Payment.  Tap on “Payment methods.”

2.  Enable Zapper:  Toggle the 'Payments | Powered by Zapper' switch to 'On.'

3.  How to create a Zapper account:  If you don’t have a Zapper account, follow a few simple steps to sign up for a Zapper account, and you’ll be all set!

1. Sign Up: Click here to create your Zapper account.
2. Verification: Follow the Zapper steps to complete the quick verification process.
3. Link to BoxCommerce: Once verified, link your Zapper account to your BoxCommerce store. (see point 4)

Please note:  After your account has been verified by Zapper, you can retrieve your Merchant ID and Merchant Site ID and generate an API Key. To do this, navigate to “Settings > Integrations” in your Zapper account. Then, log in to your BoxCommerce dashboard and switch on the Zapper toggle in “Store>Payments>Payment” methods.

4.  Zapper account details:  Enter your Zapper account details, including your merchant ID, merchant site ID and API key.  Tap “SUBMIT.”

How to Add Zapper Payment Method (Desktop)

1.  Payments | Powered by Zapper:  Navigate to Store>Payments Methods.  Toggle the Powered by Zapper option to ‘on.’

2.  How to create a Zapper account: If you don’t have a Zapper account, follow a few simple steps to sign up, and you’ll be all set!  Or skip to the next step.

2.1 Sign Up: Click here to create your Zapper account.

2.2 Verification: Follow the Zapper steps to complete the quick verification process.

2.3 Link to BoxCommerce: Once verified, link your Zapper account to your BoxCommerce store. (see point 3)

3.  Zapper account details:  Enter your Zapper account details, including your merchant ID, merchant site ID and API key.  Click “CREATE.”
