Building Your Online Store Using the Set Up Wizard - Desktop

What is the wizard?   

The BoxCommerce wizard is our fast, user-friendly online store setup tool that helps you build your online store by completing a ready-made template.

Why use the wizard?

Our set up wizard streamlines your online store set up process, saving you time while ensuring your online store and essential details are customised. This easy method lets you focus on launching your online store efficiently without missing critical elements.

Please note:  You can edit your online store’s details at any time.

How to Use the Set Up Store Wizard (Desktop)

1:  Sign up: To begin building your online store, navigate to our homepage and create your BoxCommerce account by clicking the "START NOW FOR FREE” button. 

2.  Create your account:  Select the sign up option that works best for you from the available options, such as “Sign up with email/phone no.”, “Sign up with Facebook”, “Sign up with Google” or “Sign up with X” platforms. 

 2.1 Email sign up: Complete your details, then click the “SIGN UP” button to create your account.  

•  First name:  Enter your first name for this account
• Last name:  Enter your surname for this account.
• Location:  Select your country location from the drop-down menu
• Phone number:  Enter a phone number for this account
• Email:  Enter an email address for this account
• Password:  Enter a password for this account
• Confirm password:  Confirm the password
• Coupon code:  If applicable, enter a coupon code

2.2  Facebook Sign-Up:  After clicking on the "Sign up with Facebook” option, you’ll be redirected to Facebook's login page. Enter your mobile number or email address associated with your Facebook account, followed by your Facebook password.

2.2.  Google Sign-Up:  After clicking on "Sign up with Google," you’ll be taken to Google’s account selection page. Choose your Google account from the options displayed, or click "Use another account" to enter alternative credentials.

2.3  X Sign-Up:  After clicking on "Sign up with X," you’ll be redirected to the X authorisation page. Click "Sign In" and enter your X credentials to allow access to your account.

4.  Congratulations and welcome to BoxCommerce: Follow the steps in our online set up wizard to build your online store. Click the “START” button, and let’s get your store set up! 

5.  Building your online store:  Complete your store details by entering your store name, website address and store description. Upload your logo, add your social media links, and click “NEXT STEP.” 

6.  Store location: This is where delivery teams pick up your products to deliver to your customers. You can search for your address or complete your address details in each field, then click “NEXT STEP.” 

7.  Payment methods:  To start accepting payments, toggle the payment option button to “On/Off” and complete your details.  If applicable, switch on your tax setting, then click “NEXT STEP.”   

Please note:  We do not report your tax status, we simply need these details for invoicing purposes. 

8.  Congratulations: You’ve successfully built your online store.  Now, let’s add your products and start selling.  Click “OK, LET’S GO!” to start your eCommerce journey!
