Your profile information is essential for secure and effective communication with BoxCommerce. Accurate details ensure you can recover your password easily and receive important updates, keeping you in control of your account.
What is a Password Reset?
Resetting your password involves verifying your current password and setting a new one that meets BoxCommerce’s security standards.
Why May I Need to Reset My Password?
A strong, updated password protects your account from unauthorised access. Regular password updates enhance your account’s security, keeping your data safe on the BoxCommerce platform.
1. Navigate: From your control panel on the left-hand side, navigate to your profile information section by clicking "Account Details". Under the “Profile" tab, you can update the following details and click "SAVE DETAILS" to complete.
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Mobile number
2. Login options: To manage your login options, select your preferred login method from the available options (e.g., Email/mobile, Facebook, Google or Twitter). Toggle the button next to your option to enable or disable it. Once you've made your selection, your chosen login method will be active for accessing your BoxCommerce online store.
3. Password change: Click on the blue “Change login password” button in the top right-hand corner. This will open a new window where you can update your password.
3.1 Change login password: In the “Change login password” pop-up window, enter your “Current password”, then enter your “New password”. To confirm your new password, re-enter it in the “Confirm new password” field. Once completed, click “SAVE CHANGES” to update your password.
4. Notifications: To manage your notification settings, click on the “Notifications” tab. Here, you can choose the types of notifications you would like to receive from BoxCommerce by checking or unchecking options such as “Alerts”, “Reminders + tips”, “Feature updates” and “Educational emails”. Once you’ve made your selection, click “UPDATE” to save your preferences.
