How to Change Your Email Address

What is changing your email address?

Changing your email address involves updating your primary email linked to your BoxCommerce account. This is the email used for login credentials, password recovery and all communication between you and BoxCommerce.

Please note:   Updating your email will also change the email address that you use to log in.

 

Why is your email address important?

Your email address is essential for account access and receiving important notifications for your BoxCommerce account. Updating your email address ensures you remain connected to your account and receive timely communication.

Please note:  Your online store email address and your log in address can be different.

How to Change Your Email Address (Mobile)

1.  Navigate:   From the home screen tap “Account”, then tap “Profile” to change your email address.

2.  Email address:  Tap the e-mail address field, update the existing email address and then tap “CONTINUE” to proceed

3.  Confirmation:  A confirmation pop-up will appear notifying you that updating your e-mail address and this will also update your login details. Review the message and tap “CONFIRM” to save your changes or “CANCEL” to return to the previous screen.

How to Change Your Email Address (Desktop)

1.  Navigate:  From your control panel located on the left-hand side, click "Account", then select "Account details."  Under the “Profile” tab, update your e-mail address and click “SAVE DETAILS” to proceed.

2.  Confirmation:  Once you’ve updated your e-mail address a pop-up will appear, warning that your login details will also be updated with this change.

If you're sure about your update, click "CONTINUE” to save, if not, click "GO BACK" to cancel.
