Social commerce is the integration of your social media platforms with your online store, allowing customers to browse, interact and purchase products directly through your social media channels.
Why is social commerce important?
Social commerce enhances customer engagement, expands your brand's reach and streamlines their shopping experience, making it easier for customers to discover and buy your products.
How to Set Your Social Commerce Accounts
1. Navigate: From the control panel located on the left-hand side, click “Social commerce” then click “Settings”.
2. WhatsApp: Before connecting your WhatsApp, it’s important to read the conditions and ensure you check the “Acknowledgement” circle before clicking “PROCEED.”
Please note: You must link WhatsApp to a new phone number, not the one currently used for your BoxCommerce online store.
- Exclusivity: This number will only be accessible through your BoxCommerce account.
- Verification: The phone number must receive an SMS for WhatsApp verification.
- Billing information: WhatsApp charges a nominal fee per message, billed monthly by BoxCommerce.
3. Facebook: After clicking the Facebook “SETUP” button, ensure you read the notice before clicking “CONTINUE.”
- Two-factor authentication: Ensure it is enabled on your Facebook business page.
- Correct account login: Log into the correct account with admin permissions.
- First-time setup: Follow and complete Facebook's prompts.
- Catalogue selection: Use your existing catalogue, if applicable.
4. Instagram: After clicking the Instagram “SETUP” button, ensure you read the notice before clicking “CONTINUE.”
- Business account required: Your Instagram account must be a business account.
- Facebook linkage: The Instagram account must be linked to a Facebook business page.
- Correct account login: Log into the correct account with admin permissions.
- Two-factor authentication: Must be enabled on your Facebook business page.
- Custom domain: Ensure your store has a custom domain.
- Catalogue selection: If you have an existing approved Facebook catalogue, use the same one when connecting BoxCommerce.
