What is a product category?   

A product category organises your products in your online store by grouping similar products together.

Why organising products into categories is important? 

Organising your products into categories helps your customers quickly navigate your online store.  Categories make it easier for your customers to find what they're looking for. You can create categories from scratch or define them when adding a product.

How to Edit a Product Category (Mobile)

1.  Navigate:    Tap on “Store” from the home screen, then tap “Manage categories” to access the category management section.

2.  Manage categories:  Tap the grey pencil icon next to the category name to edit that categories information.

3.  Editing a category:  After tapping the edit icon, a menu appears with the following options:

• Edit category: Opens the editing screen to modify the category details.
• Hide this category: Temporarily removes the category from visibility in your store.
• Delete category: Permanently removes the category from your store.
• Cancel: Closes the menu without making changes.

4.  Category details:  On the "Edit category" screen, you can modify the following details.  After making your edits, tap “UPDATE” to save.

• Category name: Update the name that defines the category your products belong to.
• Category description: Add or edit the full description of the category.
• Set as subcategory: Choose a parent category to make this a subcategory.
• Cover image: Upload or update an image to represent the category when shared on social media.
