With Facebook Shops, you can display and sell products on Facebook and Instagram. People who visit your shop can browse your products, make purchases and get to know your brand. You'll create your shop in Commerce Manager, a platform that you'll use to manage your inventory and sales on Facebook and Instagram.
Before you begin
To set up a shop on Facebook:
- If you don't have a Facebook business Page or catalogue yet, you can create both when you set up your shop.
- If you already have a Page and catalogue that you want to use for your shop:
- Make sure that you have manage Page permissions for the Page. If you manage your Page and catalogue in a Business Manager account, you'll need to be an admin on the account.
Connecting your BoxCommerce store to Facebook
- Click on Start Setup on the social commerce page on dashboard.
- Go through the facebook wizard to create or connect to your business manager.
- Then connect to your facebook page.
- You can also connect instagram profile, link your instagram profile to your profile.
- Create a catalogue (this will be linked to your store in the next journey).
- Create an ad account (Facebook Pixel) and link it to the integration.
Create your Facebook shop
- Click on Connect Facebook shop or on the facebook social commerce manage page.
- You will be directed to a Facebook pop-up.
- Select 'Checkout on your website' and then click Next.
- If you want to sell on a Facebook business Page, choose your Page or create a new one. If you want to sell on Instagram, select your Instagram business account. Click Next.
- Select your Business Manager account or create a new one. Click Next.
- Select the catalog you want to use for your shop and click Next. You can't switch this catalog later.
- Look over your shop details, review and agree to the Seller Agreement and click Finish Setup.
Setting up your Commerce manager
Your commerce manager is automatically created when you connect your facebook shop, however it can take up to 10 working days for your commerce manager to be approved by Facebook. This process is done automatically and there is no intervention required. Should there be errors with your products i.e. copyright infringement, missing descriptions you will be notified by facebook via email.
You’ve now created your shop. Next, you’ll want to:

Manage your catalog to add any products you want to sell.

Create a collection, a group of products you want to feature in your shop.

Publish your shop. People can see your shop once we review and approve your collections.
