BoxCommerce (as a Business solutions Provider) will be supporting your business with the technical integration of the WhatsApp Business API, we will create and manage your WhatsApp business account.
Embedded signup
BoxCommerce has implemented an embedded signup flow, which lets you sign up for WhatsApp directly from the Social commerce section of our platform. From there, you can click Start Setup and go through the following steps:
- Log in to your existing personal Facebook account. New personal accounts won’t be approved.
- Link to an existing Facebook business account or create a new Business Account. This account will be associated with your WhatsApp business account.
- Provide your legal business information.
- Create or link a WhatsApp business profile with your display name, category, and business description to share with your customers.
- Create a new WhatsApp Business number that is not already being used on the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business apps. You will then receive a code via text message to verify the phone number.
- You are now able to send messages to a limited range of numbers and use any other tools that we offer. To increase the number of messages you can send, you must complete business verification. If you are unable to send messages, confirm with the our team that we have completed your account set up.
Approve messaging on behalf of your business
BoxCommerce will send messages from your WhatsApp business account on behalf of your business. When BoxCommerce sends you a "messaging on behalf of" request, you will receive a notification within Business Manager and by email. To approve this request:
- Click on the link in your email or log in to Business Manager.
- Within Business Manager, click Business Settings.
- Click Requests.
- Under Received, find your BSP’s request and click Approve.
Verify your business
After you approve a “messaging on behalf of” request, you will need to verify your business in Business Manager.
- Within Business Manager, click Business Settings.
- Click Security Center.
- Below Verification, click Start Verification.
Note: “Start Verification” is disabled until you approve a “messaging on behalf of” request from a BSP.
After your business is verified, your BSP will have access to message on behalf of your business.
