What is delivery processing time?
The standard delivery processing time is the amount of time you need to prepare an order (including packaging) for collection.
Why is setting a delivery processing time important?
BoxCommerce uses your specified delivery processing time for all your products unless you set it differently per product.
We automatically display the order processing time at customer checkout, which builds transparency, helps manage customer expectations, reduces delivery enquiries and builds trust in your online store.
How to Manage Delivery Processing Time?
1. Navigate: From the menu in the left-hand side control panel, select “Delivery options” under “Store”
2. Processing days: From the "On which days do you process orders?" dropdown, select the days of the week that your store processes orders.
Options include:
- Entire Week
- Monday to Friday
- Monday to Saturday
2.2 Order processing time: Enter the average number of days required to process an order including packaging, for delivery collection.
3. Delivery caption: To show additional information to customers, toggle "Show custom delivery details" to either display or hide specific delivery expectations. You can also add additional information in the “Show custom delivery details” editor
