What is delivery?
Delivery is a courier or logistics company that collects your products and delivers them to your customers. On your dashboard this is called “Courier to Your Door. At BoxCommerce, we also have an "In-store Pickup" option (labelled "Click and Collect"), where your customers can come to your store to collect.
Why delivery is important?
As standard practice for eCommerce we have integrated delivery options to make it easy for your customers to get their products.
How to Access Delivery Methods
1. Delivery options: Navigate to Store>Delivery options and click on the “Local delivery” tab. We have local delivery partners specific to your country to ensure seamless delivery of your goods.
2. My collection point: Click on the “My collection point” tab and complete the details for your collection point where your courier/delivery company will collect products, then click “SAVE CHANGES.”
3. Processing time: Processing time covers receiving the order and getting it ready for courier/delivery company collection. Use the dropdown menu to select the days on which orders are processed. Enter the number of days needed to process an order and click “UPDATE.”
4. In-store pick up (click & collect): You can set up multiple physical in-store collection points where customers can pick up their orders. Click the “ADD A PICK UP POINT” button to add your first in-store pick up point.
4.1 Branch name or location: Fill in the details for your branch location, then click “SAVE CHANGES.”
5. Flat rate: If you would like to use your own delivery providers, you can customise a flat rate by clicking the “SETUP NOW” button.
5.1 New flat rate: Enter the delivery/courier company name that will be visible to your customers at checkout. Select the applicable country/countries, then set the flat rate based on weight, distance, or a fixed fee. Check to acknowledge that BoxCommerce deducts 10% of the delivery cost from the flat rate, then click “SAVE.”
6. International delivery: Our international delivery partners ensure your customers receive their orders worldwide. To enable this option, toggle the DHL ‘on/off’ button.
6.1 Activate DHL international delivery option: Next, fill in your DHL account details, then click “ACTIVATE.”
